How a Project is born.
Since its foundation our association successfully started and developed projects thanks to the direct knowledge of the context of the community, which allowed us to identify the real problems and at the same time seek the best possible solutions. This prevents the excess of assistance while instead promoting the defence of the human dignity. So during the crisis of 2001 the response was the promotion of a common small market garden and the creation of the "Manos to the obra" (Let's Start Working) Project; in the same way during the subsequent years, after realizing that the children were arriving at the elementary schools with a lot of their cognitive abilities compromised because of the scarcity of stimuli and lack of proper nutrition, the "Jardin Maternal" (nursery and pre-school structure) was created. Since 2004 this facility provides free nursery services to the children as well as offers a chance to their mothers to spare some time to realize some works and improve the standards of living of the familiar unit.
Padrinos escolares
1 - In 1998 the first project named Padrinos Escolares (Scholarship sponsors) was conceived. It is an educational project that was accomplished thanks to the “Distance Adoptions” extended to an international level and that covers all the necessities concerning the education, ranging from teaching material, to clothing, transportation, nutrition, psychological aid, medical prevention, educational support, training courses, trips to places of cultural interest, etc. In 2008 sixty, between children and young boys/girls, were beneficiaries of this Project while two of them continue college studies.

2 - Manos a la Obra (Let’s Get to Work): It was born in 2001 to respond to the heavy socio-economical crisis. At the beginning a common small market garden was created and immediately after a project of job training for adults (Dress-making, Cooking and Pastry-making courses) was developed and carried out. At the completion of the course the adults obtain a recognized diploma. In 2008 35 adults obtained the diploma.

3 - Niños
creciendo: (Growing Children) the "Jardín Maternal (Nursery
and Pre-school Structure) project was born in 2004 to prematurely intervene
in the growth and development of neurological and intellectual faculties
of the children. The first structure was enlarged in the years up to
cover an area of 240 sqm: it now provides a free service to more than
120 children spanning from one to 5 years old as well as offers a chance
to their mothers to spare some time to realize some works and improve
the standards of living of their familiar unit.
This school was officially recognized by the Ministry of the Public
Education and therefore receives a subsidy that only partially covers
the salaries of the teachers. What is left apart from the helps is the
most important part, namely the classes until 3 years of age.
4 - The Young at work: The project is born in 2009 in response to the difficulties of most of our boys who urgently need to look for a job to help their families or build their own. For a lot of them, the association sought night schools so that they could continue their studies and completed the cycle of the compulsory school. For what concerns instead the work, the association created a Professional School. The objective is to provide them with the tools to obtain in the future a qualified and better remunerated job and at the same time organize them in working groups within the Association or the city area to contribute to create new models of social behaviour that could be imitated to surpass the present models.
